Do you think that we have a closer connection to a kind of music just because the place we are born? Is our musical taste defined by the culture we are into since childhood?

About this new topic, we talk in our latest article published on WKMT blog. Thanks to Gisela Paterno, piano and music composer instructor at our famous London music studio, who proudly wrote about this new subject.

Gisela is passionate about music and all that surrounds to it. She usually researches about certain topics, last time she did research about the music composition from the point of view of Aristotle or Edgar A. Poe f.ex. So, her articles, certainly, are unmissable.

So, this time, she aims to make us think if our musical taste in inherited in ourselves because of the culture and place we born. Otherwise, is it something we create throughout our lifetime? Indeed, it is, but our cultural background makes a grand part of it, undoubtedly.

She called her article Musical expectations and Cultural attributes in Music. Click on the link to read it fully. Such a very interesting article which will make us think about our musical taste, and why other musical styles might sound so different to appreciate from our side. The reason might be explained in this article.
