Music From Lutenists
Have you ever read something about the Lutenists and their instrument? Especially of the French lutenists?
Well, it is clearly known they had an important influence on Music, but especially on an instrument that we bring to WKMT: Harpsichord.
I would like to introduce my colleague at the studio, Avelino Vazquez, our new Spanish scholar, came from Galicia, North of the country, specialised in this special instrument. He has given some concerts with this magnificent strings instrument around Spain, and now is staying at WKMT to provide our students with either piano and Harpsichord lessons in London.
And therefore, he is now a collaborator of our Musical Blog in which he will be writing some articles about History of Music and Harpsichord music. And this is one of the many others yet to come. In this case, he talks about the French lutenists and how their music and inspiration got the perfect influence on the music for this special instrument. Basically, under his point of view, these mean all for the harpsichord and its beginnings. You will find out why this is like that through some great ideas that defend the main topic.
