J. Haydn piano and violin concerto Hob XVIII:6 in London

Here we bring exciting news! WKMT has just released the dates and concerts organised in London for this new Autumn edition.

I will play myself for WKMT Members and guests three Haydn piano concertos Nrs. 3, 6 and 8. After these great first six months of the year, in which I played the number 4 in London and 11 in Sintra, Portugal, from the same Hobboken index, I continue with my project with three more this new term thanks to WKMT Piano Studios in London.

Also, I have the enormous honour of playing the first of these three with a musician I truly admire: Paola Delucchi, violinist based in London who will play this Nr 6 on the 28th September 2019 from 6.30 pm in St Cuthbert’s church, Earls Court.

Haydn Double Concerto for violin and piano in F major, Hob. XVIII:6
This is the 6th in the Piano concerto Hobokken index. This piece is the only double concerto with violin and piano as soloists Haydn ever wrote. Its refined melodic lines are intertwined in such a way they produce the most elegant classical texture. This is undoubtedly one of the best examples of Haydn craftmanship in the art of writing concerts.

This event is going to be framed at the beginning by a featured piano student and at the end by the children orchestra.
